I was wondering if this board “bajduino” is something you sell? Also, with your Ebay-bot, are the pins noted on the sketch, as well as the schematic for the L293, all the same for the Arduino UNO? OR are there things i need to change. When i went off your design i had trouble. The SR04 works properly because i can see it in serial monitor, as well as the lights, and the servo. But my motors are not working. Any ideas? Big fan of your work. It has givin me more ideas to help me learn to work with arduino. Thank you. Have a good day.
I designed my “Bajduino’s” because I found the Arduino form factor to limiting. So I designed some PCB’s and had them made in China by Seeedstudio. I have sold some PCB’s, not complete boards. All my boards so far have only used through the hole components so they are pretty easy to solder.
The pins I used on my Ebay bot should work on the Uno, as they use the same ATmega328 micro controller. Take a good look at this post on letsmakerobots: http://letsmakerobots.com/node/32462
That is where I got the schematic for the L293D. Double check all your connections and make sure there is a common ground between the power of the motors and the Uno. Else it can’t work.
Hi,
Did you construct this in EagleCAD? If so, can you tell me where you found the library containing the large toroidal inductor in the above? I have these Pulse Engineering 100uH inductors, PE-92108, but have yet to locate the library for the outline of those.
Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what size traces have you specified there?
Thanks, Geoff
Yes I used Eagle to design the PCB. I made the inductor symbol myself. Would love to sent it to you but I’m afraid I accidentally deleted it while upgrading Eagle to the last version. The width of the 5V output traces of the regulator is 100mils.
Thanks for your advice on the traces. Creating the inductor turned out to be surprisingly simple. Perhaps too much so: here’s hoping it works!
